This mural was really special because it was a collaborative project with a small group of First Nations students that are a part of the College's RAP (Reconciliation action plan) committee. A committee that aims to give the First Nations students a voice. It was with these students that I had multiple meetings to discuss the elements that they felt were important and represented their school. From these discussions I developed a digital design that was approved and then I began painting. The students also joined in painting the tracks of the animals they see around the school. It was here that I learnt of the strong leaders these students were and would become.
